Hi Everyone!
First of all I want to say a huge thank you again to all the Community for showing such amazing support! I’ve had many people reach out to me and thank me for teaching WordPress to them over the years, hundreds of people have voted on WP Dev Casts about what course they want me to teach next, and I’m really excited to strike out teaching WordPress on my own.
However, after hearing Matt’s State of the Word at WordCamp US, I decided to go in a slightly different direction than what I had originally advertised on WP Dev Casts.
As a teacher, when I heard Matt’s homework assignment, I thought, what can I do to help us all learn JavaScript? Here I was, a WordPress teacher, fresh out of work and wondering what to do next. His words, really inspired me to try to do something extra special to give something valuable back to the community.
So, I am announcing a JavaScript for WordPress Master Course that includes more than 20 individual courses and will take nearly 40 hours to complete. It will be epic.
My hope is that this will give everyone who goes through it, a solid, high level understanding of everything they need to really get rolling as WordPress JavaScript developers.
Due to the high level and comprehensive nature of the course, it will still leave a lot of room for other professionals in the field to do their own courses on specific topics.
Very graciously, a number of experts in the community have stepped forward and have agreed to help oversee the curriculum development process. A number of agencies are also offering real world examples of these technologies in action that we will peel back the hood on and explore.
A number of folks in the community have also suggested crowd funding my next venture and I’m happy to announce that I am going to be launching a Kickstarter in January! You can read more about the Kickstarter on the new site.
Thanks again to everyone for their support with this. I will have lots of details coming soon, but for now, please head over to www.javascriptforwp.com and sign up for the newsletter 🙂
Cheers!
Zac
