WooThemes Rolls Out WooCommerce 2.0

I’ve been a fan of WooCommerce for a while now and am excited that they went with a new version release as opposed to rolling out 1.7.

Here are my favorite aspects of the new version:

1. Improved product data panel
2. Easier to edit email templates
3. More robust tax options
4. Realtime validation in checkout process
5. Order items are no longer a serialized, but in their own table
6. API Improvements

A few notes if you’re upgrading.  They really emphasize running in a test environment first.  You can download the new version from wordpress.org.  Here are the docs on upgrading to 2.0.
